Elizabeth Newton (MSc, BSc, The University of Melbourne) uses art to explore science, and science to inspire her art. Her skill set ranges from representing biology in an accurate and clear way, to informing more interpretive works with zoological, botanical, and ecological concepts.

Working in a variety of traditional mediums including watercolour, acrylics, oil, pencil, ink, and clay, Elizabeth has also expanded into digital illustration and is always keen to try new media.

Her inspirations include William T. Cooper, Peter Slater, Robert Bateman, Tim Storrier, Hergé and Zdzisław Beksiński.
